Free apps you cant live without as a sysadmin (Part 3)

If you have been fooling around with ESX(i) you might know putty. “PuTTY is a free implementation of Telnet and SSH for Windows and Unix platforms, along with an xterm terminal emulator” as the homepage states. I use this app every day to manage Linux-servers, firewalls, routers and offcourse ESX-servers. You can choose to install the “putty-package” with is a set of apps for use around putty.

I use pageant all the time. Pageant is “an SSH authentication agent for PuTTY, PSCP and Plink”. If you want to know about how it works take a look here.
