<p>Clone the systemdrive to a newly added bigger HDD</p>
<p>Now Extend the volume to fit the bigger HD</p>
<p>To extend a basic volume</p>
<p>1. Open Command Prompt.<br />
2.  Type:</p>
<p>diskpart<br />
3. At the DISKPART prompt, type:</p>
<p>list volume</p>
<p>Make note of the number of the basic  volume you want to extend.<br />
4. At the DISKPART prompt, type:</p>
<p>select volume n</p>
<p>Selects the basic volume, n, you want  to extend into contiguous, empty space on the same disk.<br />
5. At  the DISKPART prompt, type:</p>
<p>extend [size=n]</p>
<p>Eg: extend size=22000</p>
<p>This extends the drive with 22GB</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you have been fooling around with ESX(i) you might know <a href="http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html" target="_blank">putty</a>. &#8220;PuTTY is a free implementation of Telnet and SSH for Windows and Unix platforms, along with an <code>xterm</code> terminal emulator&#8221; as the homepage states. I use this app every day to manage Linux-servers, firewalls, routers and offcourse ESX-servers. You can choose to install the &#8220;<a href="http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/latest/x86/putty-0.60-installer.exe" target="_blank">putty-package</a>&#8221; with is a set of apps for use around putty.</p>
